[Halifax] Port West (3644 Dutch Village) | ? m | 7 fl | U/C

New project by United Gulf for the vacant lot next to 3644 Dutch Village Road. The lot grading is already well underway. It will have four stories of parking, 74 new apartments, and provide new common areas for the expanded existing building.

Looks well suited for the hood and I like the potential for ground-floor retail shown in these renderings.

Funky site it's on for sure. Very steep hill that isn't really portrayed in this rendering

Super wonky site with the grade and awkward property lines, plus the existing building. Lydon Lynch had their work cut out for them!

this area was the last place i lived in halifax and i love driving through there again everytime im in halifax. its completely transformed and i bet we are going to see this area outperform the North end. the north end will become completely unaffordable whereas dutch village/joseph howe will have a nice cross section of society in terms of up and coming talent and creativity.

It sort of looks like something out of Cities Skylines.

I like it, though 4 storeys of parking seems excessive.

This has been going for some time, to the point that the (very loud) digging and blasting is becoming part of our heritage here in Fairview. Looks like they are almost done the digging, at least.

This is well underway now. There is a permit submitted for the tower crane.
