I don't play it anymore, but I played SC4 Deluxe and my biggest city was called Stephville. It was just one square of a region and it had a population of somwhere between 700,000 and 800,000. I didn't get any really tall skyscrapers though. I never could.

Okay you all seem to be the mastas of these cities so I have a question: Is there some sort of mod or patch I can get for SimCity 3000? I have the disks and I loved playing the game but I can't get it to work on Windows Vista. I'd love it if one of you knew what the problem is.

For SC4 i have not really tried to reach a max. My best City was at 1,000,000 while using the exact quarter of a big city.

My Record for SC3K is 3,155,000 People!

Without Cheats!
With maximum wealth!
With Maximum Land Value!
End even with normal Streets and Stuff!

So i can not hold on with the guy above, but i cared much more about realism. So its another approch. And rich buildings are looking much nicer. Here are some Pics:

Here is my standard Pattern for SC3K, its nearly unbeatable, rich residents are popping up like mushrooms.

Nice city PDM. However, I do not and cannot agree that your city is realistic in anyway because it uses the same grid layout throughout the city.

On SC3K Unlimited--I can't remember, but it was well over a million denizens. Probably closer to 2 million.

I just went to check the price of SC4 at Amazon. $40.00 still!? Whoa! Are you kidding!?
