Lots of sweet cars passing through town for this event. Saw a race prepared Nissan GT-R too. The Aston Martin is someone that works or does a lot of business in the US Bank Building. I see it parked there quite often. Also saw a brand new Bentley Continental Super Sport on the way home last night as I was passing through Eagle. I guess the consumers of Boise are getting a bit more "conspicuous".

I haven't seen the final height in feet yet, as we do not have the architectural or structural set.
Thanks for the update.

I thought it was interesting that the DB9 had a #2 decal on it, and the Ferrari (Ontario Canada plates) a #1 decal. Is the event coming though Boise? I hadn't heard about it, I just googled the bull run and such.

Sorry, i've gotten the thread so off topic

18 Floors! I'm stoked. I'm ready to see construction!

Yes, Boise was Day 4 stopover for the event if I'm not mistaken.

Now back our regularly scheduled topic.

8th Street narrowed and a lane closed on Main. Must mean the final days of the hole.

maybe this is the crane that will put up the other crane?

I just saw that also. I love that these big projects like Zions and JUMP have Facebook pages to keep us Likers up todate on new developments.

That is great news.

"The city approved up to 20 stories." is kind of interesting considering at one point we had what, a 400 footer, designed for that lot.

I think the most exciting part about "groundbreaking" will be when the crane goes up. Thread title has been updated with floor count, now we just need the feet.

did anyone attend? i heard that they really wanted to go up to 20 floors, but there were city regulations that they couldn't get around or something.

the statesman did update their story slightly from their first post.

1 - the cost of the tower has increased from $60 million to $76 million.

2 - they announced new tenants: a restaurant, the Grill at 8th & Main; the Idaho Fitness Factory; and the Beck Advisory Group.

i spoke to one person who did attend, and there was mention from the developer that they really did want to build 20 floors so they could add more levels of parking, but there were city regulation issues that prohibited that. however, even at 20 floors, there would still only be 12 floors of office space as with the final design.

no word on final height. however, they did reveal the final rendering... you can see it on the corner of 8th and main where the old rendering was.
