No, The One, One Yonge 1 and M & G.

YSL isn't even approved yet...

Also, I shouldn't have said rising, because 2 of the 3 would be digging holes in the ground...

It's not far fetched to presume Toronto could have North America's second best skyline in 25 years.
That pretty much sums it up perfectly. Transplant Sears Tower, John Hancock, and the wall of towers along Wacker Dr into Toronto's skyline and it will definitely have more impact on the visual aspect.

If we had more supertalls. But yes Toronto downtown, and sub-downtown areas are pretty remarkable and the size is getting vast. When Yonge-Eglinton and Yorkville are fully up to speed, it will be massive. Throw in East Harbour/Entertainment District/ and Liberty Village downtown will be a colossus.

Here is about as wide of a skyline as I could make, going from East Harbor to the CBD and then North to Yonge & Eglinton:

Same viewpoint, but with the camera position raised to a simulated couple of thousand feet:

Great vantages, koops! You have every Toronto skyline in there except Humber Shores, NYCC, and Scarborough.

Unfortunately, to add those areas, I would have to expand the size of my model, (which is still rather incomplete) by several times it's present size. I also would like to add elevation to the terrain, instead of everything being on a flat plane. Maybe some day...

Love those vantages koops! Yea, adding some form of terrain sounds pretty difficult for your present model.

Yeah, terrain seems like a lot of work for the impact it would make.

Why don't you just save a copy of the model with only the new buildings in their correct elevations, and export it to a format that can be uploaded into google earth (ie KMZ file from sketchup)? And send us the link!

That can't be done.

My model isn't a single file, it's a collection of about 2500 files carefully shaped and positioned. This isn't on sketchup either...

Adding elevation won't alter the look all that much, but it would add a good sense of depth behind the towers where there are hills and valleys. Creating the terrain would be easy, but re-positioning all those buldings, (about 1200 or so) let's just say I'm not looking forward to that...

Here is the view Porter pilots coming into the Island Airport must be used to:

Imagine the density if you could relocate those, and Mississauga's towers (for good measure) more towards the downtown CBD.

What's that one solitary tower in the Portlands?

I prefer it the way it is, with a few outlying highrise nodes.

Or North York City Center which is becoming very impressive in its own right.

Or Scarborough City Centre, Etobicoke Centre-427, Etobicok-Humber Shores, etc, etc.

I agree Cal, and in many smaller cities they would be an impressive skyline, but in Toronto they are not as significant lying in the outskirts. I like to postulate their impact and how they would look in the skyline if these skyscrapers were instead built around the CBD.

Vaughan centre is turning out to be king of height for suburban centres now. 6 tower over 170 metres (expo 5 doesn't have a height yet but it's 61 floors so I'm guessing it's over 170)
