Here are some I got today, last ones were around 1:30, so there's probably much more up by now. As some of the photos show the mobile crane needed all the extra height the jib gave it. This tower crane looks to have self climbing ability, but I've never seen it do so. On other projects of this height lately the crane has been installed and jacked after the building starts - it can be braced to the structure too before it gets too tall.

Because they're on top of the hill, the cranes look like they're ready to build a 40-50 storey building (from the POV of me biking by on Bedford Highway.

Hopefully someone who lives in the big condo building behind finds this forum/thread and posts pics from that angle.

This isn't quite the condo building.. but rather what someone referred to as 'the ugly building' behind it. I live in one of the upper floors of the building; here's what it looks like from my balcony: http://i.imgur.com/n4LnhZR.jpg

Thank you for the picture Dmajackson. I was thinking earlier today that it would be nice to see an update of this project.

^No problem. I'm hoping to get some regular updates on Icon Bay but it is more difficult to get to then say 2814 Isleville which I walk past daily, or Q Lofts which I can see from my window.

And just a heads up there is a notable update on one of the larger but less seen developments currently under way that will be posted at noon on Sunday.

I can't recall if this is a slightly updated rendering or not, but it at least gives a reminder of what is going in:

The last time that Dmajackson posted a picture on his Halifax Developments Blog - http://urbanhalifax.tumblr.com/tagged/IconBayHalifax - it was up to 3 floors (and two cranes). I am happy to see this one moving forward. That part of town is going to be booming once the Motherhouse project starts.

I drove past this site today an am sorry to report that it looks nothing like the rendering in terms of the interface with the Bedford Highway. Instead of what the artist showed as a modest rubblestone threshold along the highway, it is instead one of those monstrous mega-sized concrete block retaining walls that looms up quite high over the road. Ugly as sin.

This one appears to have stalled. It hasn't progressed much, if at all, from late September as judged by Empire's photo.
