Come back soon....PLEAAASSSSE

My appologies to all who religiously browse the site every day waiting for something new. I've been running around like a headless chicken for weeks in preperation for the new year at my office, so have put new content aside for a while.
I promise to make up for lost time over Christmas and New Year with some HUGE updates on all the missing links.
Thanks to all the regulars....I know who you are!

Suggestion Box:

Maybe a small box on the front page on when the site was last updated?

On front page, have a small/latest pic from each megaproject?

Very nice effort on the site. It takes a lot of time and we just have less and less of it everyday.

Sky Tower, where do you get the news about Burj Dubai's floor completition? Do you have insider's info or you just speculate based on the 3 days/floor reported schedule?

I feel you do the later.

What's even more interesting...where does the 1011 m height figure and the 216 floors for Burj Dubai come from?

I am in correspondance with Professor Bauduin from Brussels University, Project Manager for the Besix Design Department.
He now refuses to post on this forum because of mis-interpretation and ambivolent responses to his messages! (Thank you Fury for forwarding him to me)
He has direct contact with the Besix site HQ too for the updates.
The final height will be measured from the datum point at the top of the concrete raft foundation, where construction started.
The 'official' heights reported elswhere recently are actually correct, but is a plot to decieve because the height from the sensors at concourse level are the ones presented.
Heights are adjusted by the 15.4m difference.
This is EMAAR's way of giving the height a final unexpected boost when it comes to world record day when it tops out!

^ Maybe if he can post in the M.E. section only?

There is a lot less of what he dislikes in this area. At least notify him that (when it comes to the BD tower) we'll be hangin' out more over in this section. We've managed to cover the entire constrution process in one thread...so far. Plus, it will stay to people posting shots from the observation deck.

How's work going on with the site, anything new being done?
It'd be best to finish the palms first, add the internal projects such as the various hotels, the trump tower, etc.
Also how come you talk about the tallest block extensively in the burj dubai lake hotel page? The block's miles away in the marina.

I'm gonna try and get some more bits done this weekend as I've just been treading water lately.

I will add the new park hotel towers though
