We're gonna start building the ground floor probrely next week, and that one is gonna take a little bit longer to do, due to changes, beams and some part are gonna be up to 18-20 feet high. And then the first floor is gonna be very long to build to, for the same reasons--beams, heigh and a pool.

We're gonna hit typical floor on the forth floor, then it's gonna go kind of fast as 4 days/per floor.

day 1--- build and poor the walls and column.
day 2--- bring the fly-form up.
day 3--- rebar, electrical, plumber.
day 4--- pour the slab

Lol of course, this is the TriBeCa thread. I wouldn't think contributors to this thread would be looking at townhouses in the east end.

That's fantastic to see it's finally come this far! Only thing is, I've always failed to see where the ramp is for the levels underneath the one you see in pictures...it is afterall, at least 3 levels below grade isn't it?

It's great to see most of this thing nearly at ground level now....I think the Podium portion is not going to be especially fast though, since there will be more than 1 tower on top of it, and it's going to be quite big overall..

I was wondering how much of the podium would be constructed for the completion of just the first tower, but I guess it would be most if not all eh?

Then again, the podium for Shangri-la and Aura in the T.Dot, where done pretty fast considering the size of the footprint. This might prove the same...

Waiting for my ride behind Place Bell at the end of last week I noticed a structure peeking over the top of the protected walkway, in front of the crane tower, at the Tribeca site. What! Something above ground level!?

Well now, that's great to see! This just got a lot more interesting to follow, now that it's not just a hole in the ground anymore...

Thanks for the pics Lloyd and concrete06.

I think you can access the top of the parking garage at Place Bell with no problems (I did this a few years ago). That would make an awesome vantage point if you are up to it!

Yes, that occured to me ages ago. I'm just wondering what my co-workers will think when they see me out on the top level of the garage snapping photos. I've already been spotted taking photos from street level, and told "Photos of construction wokers, huh? To each his own."

Not that there's anything wrong with that!
