Here are a few more from the construction cam.

The first one is from yesterday when they were adding on an extra segment to the boom.

The second is from today with the north crane and added segments.

The steel cage for holding the glass of the crown is currently being put up, so we now get a glimpse at total height. Check out the latest images on the webcam.

Here are a few photos of The Pinnacle from my "Nashville in November" series that I just posted in the City Photos section. Obviously, construction has progressed since these photos were shot. Sorry for the delay in posting them.

Topped Out

Today, The Pinnacle @ Symphony Place officially topped out with a tree placed atop the west wall of the crown. A small tree and American flag adorn the tower. This officially signals the last tower that started at the "pinnacle" of the boom has reached final height.

Somewhat sad to see it not go any higher, but it will be a fine day upon completion and crown lighting.

Several people have commented how similar the buildings look! Unfortunately it looks as if that is the only similarities of the cities. Austin is really booming with all those great towers going up!

Even with crown being put into place, it still seems shorter than 435 ft. It is just me.

None-the-less, this is turning out to be a gem of the Nashville skyline.

It seems so, but the high-rise to the right, Encore, is 200ft. The webcam is atop Fifth Third Financial Center, at about the 470ft level of the 490ft tower. The biggest reason is because this building as a whole, covers a full city block if you count the parking garage. It also looks shorter because nothing is really around it and it is rather bulky. Lastly, the site in SoBro is the lowest part of the central core, being in a flood plain in that part of the city center, which also gives it a shorter appearance than the main part of downtown, which sits atop a hill.

Thank you for the information. It now makes sense.

The crown is getting it's glass installed. As of yesterday, the south crane has started coming down, and that should be completed today or tomorrow.

This can be updated to T/O. Also, the crown is now lit up so check out the webcam.

I wish we here in Richmond, VA could have that tower; although it would be the second tallest in Richmond. (James Monroe is around 449 ft, but the Pinnacle is ten times better looking.)

I would love to see this tower in Winston-Salem also. It's beautiful. I thought the setbacks would have lights? I checked the construction camera and only the open glass crown had lights. A Nashville thread in "My City Photos - N - Z" has more updates.
