Vancouver, roughly around the edge

Shots from around the False Creek Flats-Clark Drive-Grandview Viaduct area of Vancouver, not far from downtown.
Most people just pass through here on their way to somewhere else.
This is a rather non-descript semi-industrial no-mans-land area, but also with great skyline views, which is interesting to photograph. All pictures were taken in about one hour.

First, a view of the Northern part of the skyline, showing the Woodwards building under construction:

This area contains major transportation corridors.

Old Cars and things kind of belong here

wow, I've been on Terminal before, but I never realized how unique that whole neighborhood is. Thanks for the photos.

Nice, very nice! I live quite close to where you started the pics (clarke & grant) and walk down Terminal on my way to work everyday. Great captures of the area!

Great pics Architype. Certainly one of the lesser seen areas of Vancouver. I can't help but wonder what the future holds for these sorts of light industrial areas. Great skyline pics too!

Awesome thread, Architype. I'm really stoked that you decided to photograph this area. You almost never see the skyline from these vantage points. I bet it'd be even better to shoot from at night.

Nice weather plus some sexy, new angles make for an enjoyable thread.

Hopefully Terminal sees some action and all those empty lots disappear. There's potential along that stretch, me thinks.

Yes, I wonder what's going on there just east of the Home Depot.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Love these Vancouver pics coming lately.
I'm going to the West Jet site so I can fly out there and get sneered at.

Always nice to look at.......I like the new tall building and how the skyline kind of stair steps with it in the middle.

To have those mountains of scenery in your back yard is just amazing. I have been to Vancouver a couple times and I love it.

Downtown Eastside, who's to blame?
I ride a skytrain every day-- is it safe?

Sorry, CBC caused brain cramps.

Lovely pictures!
