It is appropriate that such a ginormous project would have big balls.

Well, this was a gaudy project from the start, but well done for doing something different! While I personally think this project is ugly and a bit inappropriate overlooking such an important site, I still have a lot to applaud about this building.
It has its own style (at least as far as supertalls go), the crown actually works with the size of the cluster of towers at the base, the clock tower is just in a league of its own and the overall attention to detail does a lot to stifle my initial view that the whole thing was tacky. It's a shame I will never get to see it in person.
The skinny Pearl Tower absolutely soared over everything else when I lived in Shanghai so my mind is boggled as to how dominant this much taller tower will appear in Mecca which has a much lower skyline.
Well done, and if we get a whole lot of imitators, this skyscraper nut will not be in the slightest unhappy

Amazing! Sadly this is a place I will probably never visit... What is the developement across from it? It seems to have about 50 tower cranes.

Thanks Youssef! It's a very nice pic

I want to tell you that ....some workers of the Makkah clock and crescent have put on their fb page your last video about the crescent. There are many now of this video on YT but they put your link. One superviser present it with the word ''Our Job''. They like it!

WOWW!!! Impresive for the siza but other than that is probably one of the ugliest building ever built.
