C'est vrai que le complexe Desjardins a l'air particulièrement massif si on le compare maintenant au Marriott, surtout lorsque celui-ci est vu du sud, d'où il étonne par sa minceur. (presque anorexique !) Mais c'est très bien qu'il donne une impression si différente selon l'angle.

Le complexe Desjardins, en fait, avait l'air d'une sorte de forteresse imprenable, isolée, qui boudait le centre-ville, presque tout seul dans son coin. C'est un des grands atouts du Marriott de recoller les morceaux.

Entièrement d'accord avec toi que le retissement de la fabrique urbaine bordant la forteresse Desjardins améliora le look de l'ensemble. Le plus qu'on peut l'entourer, le mieux que j'appréciera ce complexe.

According to La Presse it will be 44 floors tall and 138 metres. (It is a mixed use project with apartments on the upper floors and the Courtyard Marriott Hotel on the first 11. The official project name is Le V.)
