Looks like things (hopefully) now are starting to pop! I expect development to explode once the boulevard is built and the first phase of the streetcar moves along. I still think OKC residents have yet to understand what return we will get from the streetcar.

Wow. Only 6,000 feet of retail? Not much if you ask me.

Hopefully this comes to fruition and the 700 room convention center high-rise hotel gets off the ground in the next few years, along with the OG&E tower also, we could be seeing a lot of cranes in the air soon! Not to mention the mystery towers Steve Lackmeyer still thinks will come on line also! Skyscrapers, high rises, convention center, streetcar, thousands of residential units downtown, Future Core to Shore projects, Oklahoma river and all the other MAPS 3 projects to come in the next few years! It is an exciting time to live in OKC!

well according to some credible posters over at OKCTalk this is a fantasy project. Im still not ready to give up on it yet since there does seem to be plenty of going on behind the scenes of the property. But it does show the potential that part of the core has moving forward. if only the stage center developers had as much vision as this concept.

I don't quite understand how this site could be talked about so much just out of nowhere, a poster on OKCTalk drop a hint about the lumber yard site being a site for a project -- in a thread titled "OKC Mid-Rise Apartment LLC" --, this rendering be on the exact same site, but it's all pure fantasy. Not doubting anyone, but it just does't add up to me. Nevertheless, if it's real or not, it gives us an idea of possible projects to come when the time is right.

Great developments going on in OKC
That was actually me! I used photoshop to create the development rundown and there was a cool generic vector of a city skyline that came with the program, so I used it! I had no idea it was L.A., as I was probably around 15 at the time when it was made. I was just messing around and enjoyed creating these sorts of things.

I WISH I could change it now, but I can't even edit the post anymore. Haha. Provides a little humor though. ;P

Nothing much has come out on this, but it is a proposal revealed a little over a month ago:

5 stories; 255 units

Looks like there could be good news on the horizon

http://m.newsok.com/oklahoma-citys-r...rticle/5297490

"Count it all up and up to six new towers could be added to the downtown Oklahoma City skyline over the next few years — and this does not include the prospect of a 15- to 20-story conference hotel that civic leaders hope to see built next to the future convention center at Reno and Robinson Avenues."

Completely unexpected!

Very well-executed architecture...if these are built, OKC should consider itself lucky.

Love the density but those towers need just a little bit of tweaking. It'd be cool if they paid homage to the Biltmore.

The cool part is that Clayco was hired just to design a building for the new OG&E headquarters and then unveiled plans for the entire bloc . Way cool.
