I think Philly is one other one, but yeah, there aren't many. Before the Frost Bank Tower was built this would have been our tallest. That kind of height would have been thought of as being destined for Congress Avenue, our main street, not some quiet street on the edge of downtown.
By the way, something that strikes me about Rainey Street is how everyone freaks out about how narrow the street is. And it is a narrow street, but it's not unprecedented for an American city, not even for a Texan city. San Antonio, for example, has plenty of very narrow streets in their downtown that are lined with high rises. And some of those are having to bear the brunt of the hustle and bustle of hotel visitors coming and going.
