Walked by the site tonight, looks like a lot of digging has already been going on. Glad to see this is hitting the ground running!

I know! I ended up taking the F train today and noticed they had a pile driver (Think that's what they are called) on site too.

taking the 'f train' and 'pile driver' should never be used in the same sentence

Lots of excavation work is continuing at the site. Too bad we haven't had an update here in 2 months!

Over the weekend, I noticed a giant portable crane parked on 10th Street assisting in building a larger on-site crane. It's being set up near the corner of 10th and Market. Hopefully someone gets a chance to add some photos.

Thanks for the reminder. I keep forgetting this has gotten started and haven't headed that far down Market in awhile. I'll check it out later this week and try to take some photos.

I feel as if I haven't posted pictures in ages. I was walking in the area the other day and saw to it to use my new iPhone's powerful camera to snag this one. Looks like the foundation is well underway.

Sure does! Time to move this to the Construction forum. They didn't go down very far. I take it that's because there will be minimal subterranean parking here? I haven't noticed anything about parking mentioned for this project. Given the location, I hope that's the case. Also just realized the Biz Times report says this will be 37 stories, not 35 like it says in the thread title. Does anyone know if the 352 figure is still correct?

Yep, move this to construction!

Interesting about the number change on the number of stories.

That is really shallow - I don't remember seeing the parking stats for this one. Did this one maybe have some kind of waiver like Soma Grand where above grade parking is allowed? I hope not.

Not sure. I tried searching the Planning website for the meeting notes when this was approved, but not knowing the date made that pretty hard.

Just a guess, but the majority of the parking might be located more to the south as that is where the entrance from 10th will be. Yeah? Maybe?

Regardless, I'm happy to see this moving forward -- what a huge boon for the neighborhood and Market St.

Hi guys, can anyone tell me, for the purposes of the database entry for this project, is it the north tower or the south that that's now under construction?

Both towers are under construction.

Ah, that could be.

And yes, I'm very, very happy to see this moving forward. This is more important than Trinity, IMO (I think I've already said that in this thread once or twice )

Agreed. I'm more excited about the Market Street side of Trinity.

Btw, thanks for the photo Reminiscence!

You're quite welcome! Looks like I may be around the area more frequently to check up on some of the places on or around Market. I'm excited to watch this one go up!

I've seen both 35 and 37 stories for it. Is it possible that 35 stories is the amount for residential and the remaining 2 stories are just mechanical or other use? I remember we had a similar issue and discussion regarding this on One Rincon

Agreed, thanks for the photo and helping get this moved to the Construction Forum.

I didn't realize they were already pouring the foundation. I thought they were still just excavating. I'm looking forward to seeing this one rising above ground soon.

I'm pretty sure I saw the crane for this project from way out at SF General Hospital today.
