Prime is so tall now...i think it's almost the same height as Ultra to the left.

Love this photo: Impressed with the direction that Surrey Central is heading.

Looks like working on the 11th floor which, by my count, is the last floor. Then mechanical and topped out so by Christmas likely.

Really impressed on how much of an impact Prime already has on the skyline.

Jan 15:

Looks officially topped out now with the higher floor height on the last floor?

If they gave Prime an extra 20-25 meters it would have been perfect. Still nice though.

Oh I won't be surprised now... 3cp is SCHEDULED to complete June 1 to August 31. Actual completion date... Who knows anymore.

The building's crowning roof structure has been revealed - looks good. Glass starting to go up on the angled portion above the setback.

Cool.
Looks like the top floor is skewed too.

Lots of "shadowing" going on the street here, but then again, who cares? We got some awesome buildings going up here!

Framing for the podium curtain wall going up. Some retail is going to do wonders for this street.

Agreed. Ground level retail all along University is sorely lacking.

Hopefully they will lease out faster than the spaces up the street at University District. That building has been finished for over a year now and has only leased 2 of the 5 CRU's.

Prime has a bit better of a location though - so could be an easier sell.

Buildings are built as different developers purchase sites they deem economical and develop them at their appropriate schedules. As more and more towers get built, eventually they form a dense cluster. This is the way it works everywhere. Building new towers right beside existing ones in concentric circles is something that would only be possible with one single landowner - i.e. simcity.

As development and population in the area starts hitting a critical mass, the empty retail spaces will fill out automatically. Essentially, the greater the supply of retail spaces, the greater the demand there will be for such spaces as more and more people start seeing Surrey Central as a destination as opposed to a mere transit hub.
