So you hold Denver to a standard that Boulder cannot fulfill? Right then.
What are you talking about Boulder cannot fulfill? I am evidence that Boulder can in fact fulfill this criteria. If you don't believe me, I invite you up here to come look at my house, and I will even show you the bill I receive monthly from the property management company.

The floods in September DRAMATICALLY reduced the amount of avaialble housing stock, and most places do not become available until august when the leases end, so using forrent/housing helper currently provides results that are an inaccurate picture of the housing market here.

I knew before I even opened this thread that it was going to be flowing anti-Boulder rant.

Until August when leases end... Yes, clearly comparable to Denver. It's a college town. Boulder is NOT A REAL PLACE and therefore should not be compared to the market dynamics of real places.

We're not anti-Boulder. We're pro-facts. Plus what Bunt said.

I think when you live in a place with a lot of positive qualities, you tend to start building it up to be the greatest place ever, better than that "other" city. Boise residents, myself included, do this too much. The mistake the OP is making here is all the "better than Denver" stuff. It's so easy to get an inflated opinion of a good city. I think it's better to talk about why you like it, without bringing comparisons with other cities into play.

It wasn't a mistake, it was an intentional provocation. All in good fun!

- "Boulder is better than Denver!"
- "No, it's not."
- "You guys are so anti-Boulder!"

Dumb thread.

Did you guys conspire to have another city vs city thread intentionally while I'm out of the country? You know this discussion is against the rules; not my rules, the forum rules. And the last time I didn't enforce this forum rule all in good fun, it was a mistake. I have no choice here but to close this.

The pictures are very nice. If you'd care to repost them in the larger My City Photos section, without instigating a versus thread, that would be just lovely.
