I like the design and color they chose for this. It adds more character to an area which houses many distinct buildings. Also, with the height of some of the current and future members of the neighborhood, its design and color might be all that helps it stand out. Overall, I think it is a welcome addition. Keep the pictures and updates coming.

Thanks RobertWalpole for the image.
This is an incredilbe tower, can't wait for it's debut on the New York skyline. Kind of looks like Time Warner Center's distant cousin

Great visual - this one is really off the radar, yet it's an impressive and sizable building.

That is indeed a really nice building.

Very modern yet thin with two setbacks like the 30's.

It should be a great addition to the area and the general skyline.

It must be mechanical space, which means that this tower is about 60 feet taller than the specified height of 751 feet.

I'm pretty sure the 751 figure includes the box, though it would be great if it broke 800 feet.

It does not. The highest occupied floor is 751 feet.

Well that's a relief, there are far too many 750 foot buildings in NYC, good to know this will break 800 then, when will we get the final height?

Already taller than the awful low-rise structures it replaces.

I'm still scratching my head bloody over this one.
The top photo here looks as if the facade "material" is peeling,
yet in the other photo it's not.
And somehow I don't get the feeling that the actual facade will be *that* metallic as shown above.
Am I right in guessing a reflective glass surface of a hue to be determined?
Because elsewhere here there is a daytime render that shows blue and a night render showing a silverish skin (affected by street light and surrounding structures maybe?).

So it looks like this building will cover all the windows of the residential building nearby. I thought there would be a space in between.
