They're digging up the old building's basement, getting ready for formal shoring and excavation work. The massive 488 university site dominates the background;

I took this one month ago, to the day. I forgot to upload it due to a hectic, stressful month

On the right side of the view you'll see a building under construction, that's one of the towers of this project. Taken 3 days ago:

I took this as I passed through the area yesterday. The tallest tower is topped out, you can just make out the cross bracing of the second tallest building

The amount of skyscrapers going up in Toronto is staggering.

Yeah, it's quite incredible. Like, as an example, I haven't gone to some parts of Scarborough in years, and I'm now seeing pictures of big buildings going up on random major roads...it's very odd to put it one way.

I'm astounded by what's going up across the city, especially in what was usually considered the worst parts of the city.

The venerable hot spots for high rise living like Yonge and Eglinton will be choking on skyscrapers soon enough. A random Scarborough high rise is all relative.

Speaking of choking, this development has the absolute minimal breathing space. On the plus side, it doesn't look bargain basement. The facades looks pretty good.
