....Uhhhhh Vike, that 3rd floor box is off centered and overhanging the rest of the building. Someone might have bumped your arm when designing.

It's really coming together nicely now. It's nice to see something new on the horizon when heading down Portage Ave. E.

Ya I'm at BellMTS...I have great views of this, 300/330 Main, and Hyatt Place if that ever gets going again.

^ Has work stalled at Hyatt Place? Whenever I pass by I try to catch a glimpse, but it's hard to tell what's going on...

Nope, nothing has been going on there (other than some interior demolition) for many months now. There was some interior framing going on earlier in the year but that stopped almost as quick as it started.

I recall people here being dismissive of the idea that backpedalling on opening P&M could screw up the Hyatt project. It doesn't seem that wild a theory now...

So happy to see that parking lot filled, sad it's not something more significant.

the block of Lombard between waterfront and westbrook is refreshingly urban-feeling to walk down now since the walls have started to get filled in on this new building

Without storefronts? For me, it's a deadzone.

I wish the the Richardsons would be even better stewards of the downtown and develop their other surface lots west of their tower.

He said urban, not lively. Areas can still feel urban if they are built to the street continuously. Like urban residential areas for example. All cities have dead-feeling streets in their urban areas; it just isn't realistic to have commercial storefronts everywhere.

"Everywhere"? How many storefronts are located in the east exchange? Not a whole lot.

The entire building across Lombard is really nice and "urban" – but there's zero connection to the street. Especially since there's no restaurant there anymore.
