It was built in 1882, and is one of the last buildings designed by the Barber and Barber architecture firm, who were a prominent local firm in the 1880s (old City Hall is probably their best known work).
I laid awake one night thinking of how I could finance the purchase of one of those units. Alas. Buying one up would be a wise investment. Princess and Alexander isn't going to be the next McDermot Avenue anytime soon, but its certainly going to get better, not worse--unless the City or an agency steps in.
Where else in the Exchange could you buy so much space for so little?
In the meantime, it looks like its currently serving as a
