Checked out 5 Guys Burgers and Fries in Sherwood Park for lunch today.
Small menu, but lots of topping choices. Had the Little Cheeseburger with Cajun Fries. One of the best burgers I've ever had, patties are formed by hand then cooked, never frozen. All fresh ingredients.
Definitely will be going back there, the combinations of fixings are endless. Restaurant was packed and understandably so.
5 lunch boxes out of 5

EDMONTON — There was a time when the search for a downtown restaurant would leave diners cocking their heads, scrunching their eyes and wondering, wondering, “Where to go?”

These days, there is a sense of excitement and burgeoning choice when it comes to picking a place for downtown date night, or somewhere to grab a couple of apples and a glass of wine to chase away the week.

Open for only a month, Niche is just such a place, and it’s one of some 30 restaurants participating in Downtown Dining Week, March 4 to 13. It’s a great chance for diners to try a number of eateries, all of which are offering deals on set menus for lunch and dinner.

EDMONTON — Thursday will see the official opening of Pampa, the Brazilian steak house that has been in the works at 9929 109th St. for several months.

Celebrity chef David Adjey has been in town twice to film the concept restaurant for his latest Food Network series, The Opener (Wednesday and Saturday nights on the Food Network), which sees him help newbie restaurant owners get their businesses off the ground. (There’s no word yet when the Pampa episode will air.)

As a foody I have started to enjoy the growing scene, I still need to try Pampa and meet up with some of you beer swillers and try some central pubs. I'll have to try this out next year. But alas I will be enjoying the best Germany has to offer.

re: Downtown Dining Week

They should at least start up a Facebook page or something. Send out flyers and billboard ads.
