Glad you like it - by all means let me know if you have any questions!

As I also pointed out in post #1 we are at the mercy of the elements up here, so don't expect all days to feature a crystal blue sky and sun like in most of my photos, but June is generally a good month to visit.. it is one of the more rainy months of the year, but it's also the one with the most sunshine, so the odds are good, but in the end it comes down to luck..

I hope you have a great trip and by all means ask if you have any questions

The Kalvebod Brygge photo (taken fairly near my apartment) reminds me that it is drawing closer to Havnebadet season. This is one of my favourite things in Copenhagen.

Now that I am living in Christianshavn I plan to be there every day this summer (and hopefully there are more viable days than we saw last summer!)

^ Awesome thanks Freki!

My visit will actually be at the end of June carrying over to early July before I move onwards to England.
Places that are so far locked in are Aalborg and Copenhagen at this time. You have some old viking island called Aero somewhere and debating if its possible to do a day hop over there from CPH. Maybe I should bring my swim trunks if taking a dip in the water is worthwhile..

Ærø? hmm... it's located in the sea south of Funen island - it's ~4 hour trip each way from Copenhagen with multiple types of pt, so it can be done, but I'm not sure if it's worth it..

To my knowledge ( never having been there ) it's bascially just another Danish island - no major viking relations nor sights that the rest of the islands doesn't have either - so unless there's a specific thing dragging you there ( many foreigners go to get married there for some reason ) you might want to pick day tours closer by so that the entire day doesn't go with transportation..

( if interested in Vikings the city of Roskilde ( a 22min trainride from downtown Copenhagen ) has a Vikingship museum that also have some replicas ships in the habour : http://www.vikingeskibsmuseet.dk/en/ alternatively the National Museum in Copenhagen ( free admission ) have a fair share about Vikings too : http://en.natmus.dk/museums/the-nati...-for-tourists/ )

Don't expect tropical tempertures ( in late June that water should be between 15-18C ) but on a sunny day there's certainly no problem in going for a swim..

You should expect to be impressed by this stunning city with amazing architecture (both new and old) and wonderful, friendly people.

Thanks for the regular photo updates, Freki, I can't wait to go back!

Last pic. Gorgeous. I wish we still built like that here.

(Or ever did, in my specific case, but I mean North America generally, lol).
