Nah. I've never been there and I think all my second cousins over there are 10 years my senior. In fact, I have no cousins within 5 years of my age, despite having 12 of them. 2nd cousins? Oh... I have about 100... 200 of them?

Edmonton can show its true class and leadership by beating the Avalanche this weekend. It will help out the Oilers (desperately needing a win) AND the Flames (desperately needing a playoff spot).

See? We CAN work together.

A co-operation thread...eh? With all due respect...it's not possible. Calgary and Edmonton are wonderful Albertan cities. They built this province in competition with each other through the good times and the bad. The cities are too different to get along. I enjoyed the roller coaster of hatred and competition throught out the years between these two growing prarie cities, driving each other up higher and higher on the ladder. I picked up on the rivalry in the early 70's and enjoyed the ride ever since. This will always continue, boosting both Calgary and Edmonton in the years to come, so...

Edmonton sucks...go Calgary!

What's the best thing to come out of Edmonton?...The QE2 south to Calgary!

Did you hear?..Calgary is exspanding the Zoo...they're putting up a fence around Edmonton!

What's the difference between Edmonton and a phone booth?...If you really, really had to, you could live in a phone booth!

How many Edmontonians does it take to change a light bulb?...43--- one to change the bulb and 42 to talk about West Edmonton Mall.

So a police officer stops a Edmonton driver for speeding and asks, "Do you have any ID?" The driver responds, "About what?"

Sorta, except everyone in Saskatoon says Regina sucks. And everyone in Regina admits that it sucks. It's usually a pretty short and agreeable conversation.

/\You mean more specific insults are in order?

Chinooks aren't the only thing in Calgary that blows.

When driving some relatives back to the airport they mention "Are we driving all the way to Calgary?". "Yes", I answer. Then point over at Leduc and say "there it is."

Wow, talk about people entirely missing the point.

Ah well, we're well on our way to lockdown.

OK, let me get a few in before lock-down then:

Do you know why the Saddledome is shaped like a giant saddle?
To fit the biggest asses in Canada.

What is the difference between a cactus and the Saddledome?
A cactus has the pricks on the outside.

Hehehe, just joking. I love Calg!

As for a real thing Edmonton and Calgary could cooperate on, how about lobbying the provincial government, and even the federal government for more infrastructure money, or money for other services such hospitals and schools?
