Smyrna: Jonquil Village back

Note quite to the scale of the nationally recognized project we were hoping for, but still has residential in it and a Publix. It will be developed by the people who built West Village, Branch Properties. They are Smyrna are discussing the plans and Branch is making some modifications. Hearing is set for Feb.

The plan also includes giving the Atlanta Rd/Spring Rd corner of the land to the city of Smyrna for a small park and monument.




A patch commenter named Sean Murphy has an interesting idea:

“I think this could be an interesting concept store to ask the developers of Jonquil and the Publix company about. Since apparently Publix is the likely retailer for that location and Smyrna area already has a huge Publix near Paces Ferry and I-285 and another one on South Cobb, why not make this one different (…) This concept is like Whole Foods and could bring focus and press to Jonquil Plaza much like this Kroger is doing for the Four Corners area.”
