Wow, I knew this was going to be substantial, but I don't know if renderings paid this justice. Really excited to see to see the vertical progress continue and see how it looks once it all comes together.

Agree. The cooling towers are looking like they will span a larger part of the roof than I expected from the renderings. Think it will look great!

the cooling tower looks way more massive than in the renderings. maybe they tweaked the design a bit, or just never fleshed it out properly

They're measured correctly

I think the cooling tower may appear to be a bit larger right now than in the renderings because the glass on the exterior of the elevator shafts, which make the building wider on that side, hasn't been installed all the way up to the top. That could make the cooling tower framing appear larger relative to the building immediately below.

I think it's mostly these pictures. I was surprised at the difference when looking at these pictures. But I was just up at 19th and Walnut, and the size looks consistent with renderings in person from the vacant lot that should become 1911 Walnut.

If we get pure horizontal view from this vantage point, I think it'd show it better.

when some people claim that high (union) wages somehow hold down construction in Philly I like to point out that many construction sites work 6 or 7 days a week, with lots of nice expensive overtime.
I'm sure the owners and GC's would be glad to spend half of what they do spend on wages, but once construction starts, it seems like time is a bigger factor then wages

At the moment , the total volume of the cooling tower looks like it will be quite a bit
smaller than the one atop C C .
Has the technology improved to the point where smaller is better .

I suspect the goal to achieve LEED Platinum may have a big impact on unit sizes.
