On the 2nd of May , the new Julius-Leber-Brücke S-bahn station got openend.
The accesability of the "Schöneberger Island" is much better , 17.000 daily users are expected.

Today the 166th station of the S-bahn network is opened by :
Ingeborg Junge-Reyer, Senatorin für Stadtentwicklung Berlin, Ingulf Leuschel, Konzernbevollmächtigter der Deutschen Bahn AG für das Land Berlin, Dr. Tobias Heinemann, Geschäftsführer der S-Bahn Berlin GmbH, und Dirk Schulmeyer, Leiter Bahnhofsmanagement Berlin der DB Station&Service AG.

Karstadt Haus - Neukölln

A few old pictures of a really impressive warehouse near the actual Hermannplatz U-bahn station , all the pictures were taken between 1929 and 1935:

it´s not proposed. i was there today and the tower already exists. actually it´s a quite old tower and just got re-freshed. the other lower part of the building is still under construction. i will post pictures later

@ Andi, thx for the Leipziger update!

@ Grumpy, on another website they have renderings for the tower near the alex at Alexanderstrasse, right beside the Alexa! So maybe that project might happen?

I'm not sure what it says as it is in German!

@ Grumpy, any idea when Molkenmarkt will start, I read somewhere not to 2012 will construction start. The area certainly needs it with that huge Gruner strasse cutting through it like the berlin wall.

Pertaining to the picture you posted, It loooks like either the Stadtbahn line or possibly the U1 line? But I really don't know!
