8. Why so many research facilities are concentrated in Trivandrum
Thanks to history. If you observe history, it is easy to find that education has very special importance in Trivandrum. It dates back to many centuries. In 18th century, the observatory was created in Trivandrum for astronomical research. Also institutions such as engineering colleges started here first.
The research interest is fueled by citi's premier educational institutions
Prestigious institutions like CET, IITM-K, many numbers of Engineering / Science colleges, Medical /Ayurveda / Homeo institutions, management institutions like IMG/ASB/IIHM etc are fueling this phenomenon.
9. Summary
City is growing as an international knowledge hub
Trailer: Real estate lobbies in some places, where the contribution (IT & Hi-Tech) is still at infant state are hyping from all the cylinders. One can not imagine how much they would have hyped if they had this much Research or IT in real action.
