I wonder if they are going to fill up the Main Street Station new glass walls with Lamar advertising posters?

I hope not, would be a shame to block the openness/viability that now exists.

Image dump of how the various projects are going.

29th Avenue has a rather impressive temporary canopy over it during work on the roof.

Metrotown's elevator is gone. Lighting and associated fixtures and panles have been removed from the platform level.

Thanks!

The tie-back rods suggests that there'll be something with a larger footprint than just a column footing.

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

They spent all that money replacing every light fixture in the station but when it came to the light over the elevator not only is it some $20 lamp you can probably get at The Home Depot but it doesn't have a wire cage protecting the bulb.

What is that lower level under Broadway-Commercial. I would assume it is an electrical and mechanical level. Looks to have elevator access. I wonder was there sufficient foresight to design (with height related to the track and placement) that it could be easily converted into a passenger platform in the future if the need developed.

Like with the other side of the cut there are offices located under the platform. They can be accessed either by the stairs or the elevator.

A Development Application sign is up for the proposed upgrades to Surrey Central Station. Does anyone have details on what's proposed?

I just did a search and nothing obvious popped up. Did you notice if the sign had a long number on it? If you google 'Surrey Development Proposal 1234-1234-12' (or whatever the name / number is) you'll find if there's any info on it really quickly.

You can't see the grime and mildew when they are green. Neutral color painted surfaces in Vancouver look like crap after a year unless they are regularly cleaned.
