Thanks for posting, Maldive. In addition, there's a huge number of proposals in the pipeline, though there have been no major new ones announced in a while. I wish someone here had an inside track, and could update us on the status of projects as they wend their way through the approvals and sales processes.

I can tell you right now, a good deal of projects are in sales. Peter and Adelaide, 40 Widmer, 101 Spadina (soon), Final phase of Cityplace, and others I can't think of at this time. 49 Spadina is going ahead with demo, as is Home and Halo.

I'd love to see 400 Front west go somewhere soon.....but it's in the OMB and the city is demanding a good few changes which is understandable considering it's location.
Hell, up in St. Clair West, the Barrington is well underway, and that Bugo project is finishing up, crane is gone.

We're mostly down to observation and looking into things.

^Thanks for that, GeneralLee. I have to be honest and say that I'm primarily interested in the big 'uns. YSL, M+G, Chelsea (which has been truncated, according to koops), Sugar Wharf (yawn-worthy office component has begun), the One Yonge series (shortest one underway, on reportedly low sales), etc. Those always seem to take forever to be approved and get started.
I would also like to see 400 Front W., even though it's an iteration of the overused "offset boxes" theme. I also like 415 Yonge a lot; everyone else seems to hate it. I'm also partial to 80 Bloor W., of which there has been no news in ages.

Nobu's Hotel and Residences have broken ground today:

I'm personally just very glad to have the Well starting up. Will be very impactful from a good few angles, I can't imagine the view of it from the Cn tower.

The Celestia Redevelopment is happening....I'm pretty certain on it. I saw the interior gutted from the south wing,

Mimico Homes for Sale?? How is that area now??

Just looking at some of the GTA and came around the Mimico area.. does anyone have any updated pictures of the condos that were supposed to go up there? Looking for Mimico Condos and mimico homes for sale and was wondering if they look alike to those at Union Station made by the same groups? https://royallepageinfinity.com/mimico-condos/ https://royallepageinfinity.com/mimico-homes/

89 Roehampton, or E2 Condos is now starting....the school was demolished. The new condo buildings next door will be torn down soon....I'm rather mad about this development (48 floor tower)

Why is the "new" condo building being demolished?

I meant new because it's not that old. It's the townhouses in the back, built in the 90's. The owners agreed to move out for this new condo.

Mayoral candidate Keesmaat unveils plan to tear down part of Gardiner Expressway for 'grand boulevard'

Quote:
Toronto mayoral candidate Jennifer Keesmaat has unveiled a plan to tear down the eastern part of the Gardiner Expressway and replace it with she calls a "grand boulevard."

"We can build new communities with new jobs in retail and employment and affordable housing — places for people to live — by unlocking this land," Keesmaat said at a news conference on Sunday.

Gardiner Expressway rebuild the 'wrong decision,' says former chief planner

"This is really about creating a livable city. It's about creating a sustainable city. It's about creating a green city, and it is about moving Toronto into the 21st century."

Keesmaat said her plan would cost $500 million less than a project championed by Mayor John Tory and approved by council in 2015. That project would see portion of the Gardiner torn down and then rebuilt.

"This kind of a structure is really a relic of the past," Keesmaat told reporters. "Forward-looking cities are tearing down their elevated expressways and instead creating new communities and new places."

Keesmaat added that the money saved would be reinvested into transit.

"We know that we can't be adding more cars into to the downtown. There's not enough room on the streets to be doing that," she said.

"We know that we can add more people and more pedestrians if we build better transit that really makes transit a true choice in every corner of the city."

Keesmaat has already spoken out against the Gardiner, calling a council decision for the multi-billion dollar rebuild "frivolous spending" in January.

Welp, walking down to the subway this morning, I noticed 85 Broadway is starting up, the homes have begun demolition (This saddens me because of the opportunity these homes had instead of this...but oh well I guess);

Meanwhile, the twins across the street (Citylights at Broadway) is going up, already one floor high in some parts.
And, E2 Condos continues, with some demolishing of the condo buildings;

Crosstown projects

Well, the site at Eglinton and Leslie (Upper East Village) is going well into sales, of their luxury units which stay above $1.2M is price which is insane IMO. The site is shown below from two days ago, when I took a walk over. The remaining stores on this commercial plaza remain thankfully...they'll be missed when their gone, along with the others already gone...

Yesterday, from the Globe:
https://www.theglobeandmail.com/busi...s-fast-enough/
"Toronto can’t build office towers fast enough

A decade ago, an office landlord might have gone into crisis mode upon learning a tenant as big as Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce was preparing to flee to a new development down the street. But these days, perhaps nothing says more about demand for office space in downtown Toronto than QuadReal Property Group’s response to precisely that scenario.

Here's an update of the new Toronto Courthouse, with the photos taken by me today. This is a link to a statement by Infrastructure Ontario on progress on the site;
