Hmm... Perhaps the space will be subdivided and be filled by two new tenants? If it's all for one store I can't imagine what might be able to fill that space. Maybe Old Navy is moving inside and another big box style store will be filling their old space?

There is an increasing trend to move towards stores in up and coming corridors and intensified areas. The challenge for the Bay in Halifax would be that the DT core doesn't quite have the right level of population yet to make a good go of it - but I think in the next 5 years (one you get many of the proposed condo/apt buildings complete) that situation will have changed enough to go for it.

If Hudson's Bay were to open a new store in Halifax perhaps it could spark some interest by some of the other stores. I would really like to see a Simon here in town. I suppose a Saks or Nordstrom would be out of the question.

I can't think of many retailers that would require that large of a space other than H&M or Forever 21 which are already in MMM. Possibly Crate & Barrel or Pottery Barn?
It's going to be Sephora. Personally, I don't understand how makeup can take up 17,000 sq.ft. of space, but my girlfriend assures me that it can.

Part of the space may be another Sephora but definitely not all of it. Though I imagine another Victoria's Secret is likely another part of the space. I hope not, as id rather see some new to market retailers.

According to AllNovaScotia Service Canada will be relocating from Mumford Centre to 6206 Quinpool Road. This is great news for the street since it will get more people downtown to get their federal services done.

Restoration Hardware is another possibility that isn't here yet

I have heard that it may be converted to 2 spaces a smaller 2000 sq.ft square on the corner

GREAT news. Now they just need to bring an Access NS back to the core.

I suppose it's entirely possible Urban Outfitters is opening in (at least most of) that large space in Mic Mac

There is a new cafe being planned for the corner of Agricola and Woodill St, the red and white striped building where a laundromat used to be

That was originally supposed to be Lion and Bright when it was first being planned

Thanks. I was hoping for something a little more... interesting... but the current location could use a facelift so I suppose it will be a net improvement.

Found this today. Wondering if they are planning to renovate to match the rendering?

The rent - and thus the cost of running the business - has probably shot up since The Roy condos came about.
