Awesome shots SkyscrapersOfNewYork! And yes this what NYC is mostly about! Amazing collection of so many different types of towers all over Manhattan. The density is too great.

What is it with this pointless comment. Let me put it this way, Manhattan is the main focal point of NYC. Yes the other boroughs are amazing in their own right. But if you take away Manhattan from NYC, then it can never be the NYC that everyone recognizes and it will never be one of the greatest city in the world. If you take away any other borough, NYC will still be so recognizable and still be one of the best cities in the world, all because of Manhattan. Manhattan is what really defines the city. When people hear NYC they think of Manhattan.
So let the thread starter say whatever he wants. Stop judging these type of threads. Plus just focusing in Manhattan with your camera takes like forever too.
Anyway if you are going to just pick on NYC threads like this one, there are a bunch of photos that people post about their own cities and for the most part they focus on the central business center. Why don't you write your petty comments there as well.
