Arrow DUBAI | Ubora Towers | 840 FT / 256 M | 60 FLOORS

A development in business bay called "Ubora Towers". It's being built by a south korean developer I think so that's the reason for the writing. Not a supertall but wanted to post it anyway since I think the design is something else. Construction will probably start next year.

It's good to see that other tall buildings will be built near the Burj Al Alam. Otherwise it would stand out too much.

The tower's website (still u/c): http://www.uboratowers.com

Cool, didn't know that the tower has its own website now. If you go to the bando one a popup with a little video appears

Yup, was surprised to see a tower of this height there. What business bay's missing are tower in the 200 to 300m range. There are some monsters and loads of 20 to 30 floor buildings. If this tower has 55 floors then there could well be a few more in that particular area hopefully.

Link to more business bay towers.

Pretty much all the major projects are released but now individual towers have to start. Lots more to be released in this area over the next few years, every box=shaped tower in my location map represents an unreleased tower so you get the idea

its funny how dubai buildings seem to be of either very sleek, tasteful design like this one, or the skyscraper equivalant of an american low-end subdivision. very nice design though.

Aswell just so you know there were 8 unlimited height business bay plots auctioned off last year. So far 2 monsters have appeared (by monster I mean something around 1500ft not 1000 ), burj al alam and some other tower that not much is known about yet. Then there are a set of twin towers that are about 1100ft to roof but more like 1200 if their pole-like spires are counted (don't know if they occupy 1 or 2 plots). Also there are rumours of a 90-storey tower by damac but since it's damac building it it won't start for at least 5 years .
The dancing towers do not count since dubai properties just used that plot themselves, the tallest of those should be just over 1000ft.
Aswell since towers are restricted by floors and not height another supertall of 65 floors has appeared, which was surprising since it doesn't occupy an unlimited height plot.

That means there are either 3 or 4 of these super-plots left so don't be surprised to see more tallies. I predict one more monster and the rest not much taller than 1000ft.

This is beautiful! I really love that gap between the bottom of the tower and the mall next to it.

Ubora will be quite the beautiful development --- lyrical mirroring of the tower's concave set-forwards in the plinth's convex cantilever is the best moment IMHO.

NICE

Don't know if this qualifies as construction but the site has now been boarded (up above the cranes on burj dubai)
