commonwealth improvements

I found this article regarding the commonwealth stadium improvements on the slam sports website. Does anyone have any renderings of the improvements? In the article it says the esks are going to replace the 32 year old red seats with new wider green ones. Here is the article:

Eskies' new home knocks your socks off

Commonwealth Stadium's facelift is impressive in both the grand scale and minute details of the project

It was difficult to get the full feel of what the new Commonwealth Stadium is going to be like as you tromped your way through the mud, and worked your way in and out, up and down, and around what is still very much a construction site and far from even being close to a completed complex.

But if you were Edmonton Eskimos quarterback Ricky Ray or a member of the media walking around with a hard hat, wearing safety goggles, hard-toe rubber boots and reflective vests Friday, you could finally get the idea of what we're dealing with here.

“We're so excited about what we have coming into being, but so far we've only been able to talk about it and show people drawings. Now you have the chance to see it and get a much better idea of what this is going to be like when it's done,” said Eskimos CEO Rick LeLacheur as he led the first hard hat tour Friday.

The more than $110-million in upgrades to Commonwealth finally came into focus for many.

. . .

Remember to post a link to the article and to only post a relevant excerpt of the article. I have already trimmed the article. You just need to provide where you got the article.

Nobody even blinks an eye when we spend 110 Million dollars on renovations to Commonwealth, but suggest a new entertainment/arena district in downtown and suddenly you have an angry mob from the CTF and what not.

If people had any sort of grasp at how big the city of Edmonton's yearly budget is.... and what comes in and out of it, they would be in for a big surprise/shock, but rather then becoming informed, we will just read the headlines of the sun-gossip rag, and claim to be experts on all things the city should and should not spend money on...

There's a pretty good video on the Esk's website of the construction going on at Commonwelth, it looks really good.

Decent video, with the exception of the "YOU ARE WATCHING DOUBLE E TV" loud brash opening, and the porn music. Sounded like something they'd do in the states.
