is the surface wood or concrete? from a distance it looks like concrete but up close it looks like wood. maybe they cast the concrete to have wood texture as to blend in with the natural environment more. japanese designers are so conscious of the environment. taiwanese architects need to learn this aspect especially when designing for national parks like sun moon lake.




i wish norihiko had designed taiwan's elevated highways and mrts. the current ones are so clunky and ugly. he would've designed them to be so elegant and sculptural.Norihiko Dan 日月潭向山行政中心 Hsiangshan Visitor Center
