Yeah, I'd count that, especially because they're directly linked to the Barco/Posvar complex by the footbridge. . They were constructed in 1963 according to Wikipedia.

Much of Modernism, like the International Style, was inspired but the Gothic. The aesthetic was light and thin; the preferred materials were steel and glass. Brutalism is heavy and thick; the preferred material was concrete with surprisingly few windows. It's the difference between a Gothic and a Norman/Romanesque church.

At best the style feels monumental; at worst it feels oppressive, even Orwellian.

I love that building. It is like a FORTRESS! Sure, it is ugly as anything... but the sheer mass of it is stunning. The lack of windows helps add to that effect.
