Yeah. . . there's definitely been a substantial increase in activity at the Aqua site this week. . . they've cleared the site and have put settlement markers in and around the tower footprint area. . . not much longer now and this baby's gonna blow. . .

I wonder if they will use the one that was used at Trump, Waterview and 300 N LaSalle.

This may in fact be technically U/C. . . I have to have another look, but there may be one caisson in place near Columbus adjacent to the ComEd substation. . .

You mean this? I just went outside and took this with my cell phone camera. I saw a few others, too.

thanks for the pic hydrogen, but were you able to see if there were any full-size caisson drill rigs on-site? and i'm not talking about that little guy they had out there to drill the bores for the tunnel grouting.

if that's a real caisson hole and not another tunnel grouting bore, then this one is finally under constrcution!

^I just ran back down and snapped this one. It looks like a drill rig.

^I think thats the one I saw this morning. Guess it looks kinda dinky though, but I dont think its the same as the one from last week. Is it big enough to drill caissons though?

Wow. Another building under construction or within a few minutes. Certainly a great time to be living in Chicago.

I don't think that thing's a caisson.
And I don't think this thing is under construction yet.

I think it'll take Case a week or so to mobilize once Aqua gets their foundation permit, and i'm not sure if they've gotten the permit yet.

Anyone have any info on the permit side?

It appeared that workers were breaking up a large piece of an old foundation today.

Everything that I_am has posted has been onsite (or drilled) since early January.

The only new things happening on site is the excavation that began yesterday.

Sorry no camera.

They were pouring concrete today just SE of the fire station, I have to assume they are finally filling the tunnels?
