Some good news for our sorry KINGS

A Kings championship, of sorts

As of Nov. 1, the Sacramento Kings led the NBA in full-season ticket sales and were No. 2 in full-season equivalent sales, says our sister publication SportsBusiness Journal, citing an unnamed league source.

The Kings sold 13,795 full-season tickets, beating out the Miami Heat at 13,763. The teams switched places in full-season equivalent sales, with Miami at 14,150 and Sacramento at 13,901.

"The NBA's emphasis on having teams hire bigger sales staffs and be more creative with partial-season ticketing plans appears to be paying off," it reports. Full-season sales grew by 3 percent, while full-season equivalent sales rose 5 percent.

I picked a bad year to finally get to the front of the line for season tickets. Can't lose hope yet though, still too early

nothing new......... We know they went to Indianapolis and said "they need to think big".. well duh.

They want to bring it downtown.. nothing new there, but still no ideas for funding. Well, maybe I should be a little more optimistic.

But the city will probably forget about it again once it comes to figure out funding.

I hope the Chamber can do something, but just sounds like more of the usual

I like the ones guys comment, "Sacramento needs to stop thinking so damn small"

Think BIG Sacramento. Is this a genital reminder that if we
don't get something started soon things will change?

I just do not undestand how getting financing plan can be so damn hard.

The city has an excellent credit rating. They can get a loan/sell bonds

Between the 100 acres, naming rights, Maloof money, hotel and car rental tax, and a few other things..there should be enough money there.

I'm sure it's harder than just that, but I sure as hell know it's easier than what they have made it up to this point

The big question is..where?

I don't think K Street and Railyards are realistic, even if they are maybe the best choices. I hope for the Docks, or by Raley Field.

Just my option, and probably a lot of you guys agree.... It's not worth to use city loans, sell city land, and use taxes for a Arena in Natomas. Sure we are getting a new arena, but it doesn't help.

We need it downtown, where it will benefit downtown and not just the Maloofs.

if we are going to build a new arena, we need to use it to boost redevelopment in DT.

If it came down to an arena going to Natomas or losing the Kings, you would say bye?

A downtown or bust thinking maybe a little harsh.
