East Meets West Part 1 Ancient Cities- Historic Tour Through Turkey

I spent the Month of August touring Turkey with my wife and her family (from Turkey) These are my photos from outside of Istanbul in various parts of the country. I'll show villages, smaller cities, underground cities, ancient sites. These photos depict some of the ancient cities of Turkey in the hellenistic and Roman days. Please enjoy.

Fascinating stuff!

Never knew that Turkey had such ancient ruins like Greece or Rome. Wonder what other historic sites like these are out there.

Turkey has more ruins from the Greek era than Greece.

I knew Sardis' baths were well preserved but I didn't expect that well. I want to visit Turkey it's filled with history from assryians, persians, greeks, romans, byzantines, turks, and crusaders just to name a few. I know there are a ton of Greek and Roman towns by the Aegean.
