In one year . . . after THAT. You gotta love authoritarian rule. I mean it's been 9 years since the WTC came down and what have we accomplished?

this hotel has not been restored yet. i was in Beijing during Chinese New Year, and the hotel still needs an awful lot of work. i saw it before it burned down and thought it made a great addition to CCTV plaza next door. unfortunately, it is still completely burned out.

^Yes, but what tbejus meant is that they plan to restore it. There was an article on it that said they plan to actually "rebuild" it. I'm not sure if that means demolishing it, and starting from scratch, or rebuilding it using the skeleton.
