I, actually, love the Nicholas Residences simplicity of design. SURE! It's another ' glass box ' . But, as a modern apartment tower, IT isn't pretentious nor ridiculously over-scaled. It's base treatment, also, respects it's neighboring surroundings. A lot can be said about ' simple elegance '.

I don't mind glass in this area, but it's a complete snooze architecturally. It seems that developers have no qualms about boring us to death.

This one will by default add a little bulk to the Yonge Street streetscape. I'm actually looking forward to it, hoping it can come in with some half decent cladding.

Looking at this location on google maps I'm amazed I didn't know before about the townhomes along Irwin Ave. That bit of residentia totally took me by surprise, particularly as I've stayed at the Sutton Place Hotel just a few blocks away.

You're almost right Cal. The blue crane is for FIVE. Nicholas has a white crane, but don't take this as a complaint by any means. All your contributions are greatly appreciated!
