It looks like WEM is getting ready for the LRT.

^Ideally, if Edmonton gets Commonwealth Games, we would hopefully see LRT to WEM by 2022.

Given Edmonton's economy and demographics and WEM, I'm sure that Ghermezian won't have to wait long to get that luxury retailer he wants for that tenant.

Question

I am assuming the "mystery luxury retailer" will be going into the old Delta Hotel digs at City Centre...

Denizen Hall opens up tonight at the Grand Hotel for The Constantines. Took this while the band was doing soundcheck. Folding windows!

I hope it isn't finished yet, there seems to be a lot left to do.

Is the liquor store there still open? I suspect that's a big contributor to the "atmosphere" of that corner...

While it does have negative impacts, it also is one of the few places to grab some booze downtown if you run out at dinner, for Devine's closes so early.

To be honest it would be foolish if they closed it. A better strategy is to renovate the interior and stop selling the 'go to' beverages such as Colt 45's, Big Bears, etc.

Very foolish. They don't want to surrender that license and buffer area anchor. They will have no competition in the whole EAD!

Hearing there is a 7-11 coming to Jasper and 101 Street. I can't only imagine it would be in First & Jasper.

^ No sizable vacancies in Empire, unless Randstad is moving (doubtful).
