Greedy fucks.
I'd argue it's the tremendous location (truly, literally walk to everything location and you don't even have to go outside if you wanted to jump on the blue or red line) here that earns it any sort of premium......but honestly, these price points are what I'd have expected, more-or-less......what new construction apartment tower downtown has price points that are meaningfully less expensive? If there are any, I'd think they'd definitely be in more 'fringe' (that might be a little strong - how about 'edge') downtown locations

It's a great location, no doubt about it. I think though that the Loop needs more legitimate bar type of establishments in the general area that stay open later. I'm sure these will be taken but yeah.

I think this building could have used more "waves" in the facade to really distinguish it. Looks a little half assed

Just noticed that they seem to have updated the website recently.

They have exact prices for all units available (not just the 'from' amounts) -- I see the studios range all the way up to $2,882. This is an amazing location, but for about the same price you can get an entire two bedroom apartment a few blocks away in Lakeshore East.

All of the apartments are listed as ready on June 1, so I guess they're not staggering the availability.

My folks went this weekend and said their theater was full. They said it wasn't a big theater, maybe 50 seats, but they're definitely getting more money per moviegoer with the food, drinks, higher ticket price, etc.

I now watch all my movies there, food and drinks are surprisingly great and theaters are small. I have been noticing that the theaters are pretty full even on weekdays

How long has it been since there was an actual movie theater in the theater district? This district was truly made by movies and vaudeville while Broadway was really something else entirely. It is good to see it once again has cinema.

^The United Artists closed in 1988.

Edit: Looked it up on CinemaTreasures.org and the Woods lasted until Jan. 1989.

A painful missed opportunity.
