The Odeon won't be using the whole block, so it will be interesting to see what else goes up.

Has anyone else noticed the uptick in graffiti in and around the plaza tower? It's everywhere. I'll never understand the logistics of getting on the side of the tower to do that, or doing ten foot tall letters on the side of a building.

Pile driving equipment is on site for the Edwards Bayou St. John project. They're really moving fast with this one.

Great photos tennis. The exterior renovation of the Pythian looks amazing given its condition at the start. The Standard is moving along very quickly. Exterior wall framing has already begun which gives an early indication of the window spacings. Top out will be here soon which will show its impact to the skyline, though modest. Finally, Dave and Busters will need to race to the finish if they expect to have the exterior completed by the May 1 opening I've read about. Overall, its great to see all of this work moving forward. Thanks for the photos. It's very much appreciated.

you welcome I try taking pictures when things have progressed. Some stages of certain projects can be quite boring to look at.

BTW in case anyone wanted to know Flemings Steakhouse is opening at Lakeside Mall Soon.

Prefer to ask here before asking City Data..........

Any tips on parking downtown while visiting for the weekend? I heard you can park at Harrah's for free 24 hours if you gamble, can I gamble for several hours a day and park for free, moving my car each day?

I was out of town last weekend and came back on Monday and felt like the tower crane for Standard was raised. Did anyone else feel this way? I can now see tower crane from other side of dome and I couldn't before.

omg where?!?! THERE IS LITERALLY NO ROOM AT LAKESIDE. Oakwood Mall has so much room around it for redevelopment. It's ridiculous how imbalanced Jefferson Parish is in regards to economic development. Concentrating in just one area is not healthy and it leads to decline in others. ugh.

Corner of 17th & Causeway - where the old Whitney branch was.
