Common theme among the right wing Trump crowd. The vast majority of Trump support is from the un and under educated in declining America. The Republicans were soundly rejected in highly educated areas last Tuesday, many wealthy suburban areas included. Areas that used to be solidly republican before the fat ass took over the party.

Except her district is generally affluent and well-educated, and those professional folks generally voted for her, while the poor folks voted for her machine politics opponent.

She's a populist ideologue, and I can't stand populists regardless of politics, so would never vote for her. She sells crap.

Lack of education = MAGA voters/ Fox News watchers. Liberals love education.

Mod request to close thread?

The winners (New York City, Arlington, VA, and Nashville) have their Amazon threads active in their respective subforms. The losers have their The HQ2 Losers Lounge thread active in the SkyBar.

Anything else posted here will be off topic.

All the cities in red states with bright futures have educated voters who vote blue. White, educated, middle class suburbanites do not want to be associated with coal loving, birther whispering, Fox News worshiping, climate change denying, homophobic, anti-Semitic, misogynistic, racists.

Educated whites went democratic because they see threw divisive right wing politics of fear, and they believe America's best days are yet to come. ATL, Denver, Houston, Dallas, Austin, Raleigh, were in once red states, but came up when they turned blue....let's not forget Nashville will be all blue in 10 years too.

Yes I do find her to be a bit idealistic

At the same time, Amazon is simply taking a page from major league sports teams who extort in some cases billions from cities by threatening to leave if taxpayers dont pony up.

Cities who did not get Amazon are not losers because the search was never a real contest. Additionally, as many CEOs said the cities can use the feedback from Amazon as a template for how to make their cities tech capitals. Chicago has a large tech population, so will not struggle as much as Atlanta will because GA red state politicians refuse to invest in infrastructure and better education so Atlanta will have to completely self-fund.

Just kidding. The losers lounge might end up being the winners when all is said and done. Kinda like hosting the Olympics...

I for one am glad Houston did not get in on any of this. Austin dodged a bullet too.
