Have you also learned that secret from the river; that there is no such thing as time? That the river is everywhere at the same time, at the source and at the mouth, at the waterfall, at the ferry, at the current, in the ocean and in the mountains.-Hermann Hesse

Anyways, I am going to have a thread in the city photography forum later this month with all new photos. The photos in this thread are basically getting to know my new camera in an intimate way. yeah.

Awesome photos, can't wait for the photo thread, Sawtooth!!

I hope you don't mind, but I think I too will start a photo thread soon, I've been going around snapping photos of the Treefort Music Fest, Beat Pete run, and other parts of downtown and would love to share them.

Thanks BA!!

Go for it, I missed out on Treefort but heard a lot about it and it sounds like an event that progressive Boise can keep on pulling off well into the future. There is so much talent here in all aspects of the arts and music.

An option is maybe we could have Cottonwood rename this thread to be a catch all type of Spring photo thread for those of us who love to photograph Boise.

I like the idea of a general photo thread for our Boise photographers to post in, This thread is on fire so I could rename it if you want and if others will participate and post their photos here. Also, i'm looking forward to your city photo thread Sawteeths, you always rep our lovely city well with beautiful classy artistic photos.

So, this morning I took oodles of pictures along the Greenbelt on both sides, all the way from Anne Frank to the end at Lucky Peak. This also includes the new developments they've done at Marianne Williams Park. I need to figure out the best way to go through these, though, and how I should post them....

Is it just me, or does the skyline look best from Camel's Back? Thanks for showing that angle, Sawtooth.

The skyline looking north looks a little empty, it's nice to see it looking south.

Looking forward to the photos City of Trees. What do you guys think about turning this thread into a general Boise photo thread for anyone to participate in? I can change the title of the thread...I only say this because Boise has a lot of threads active on the MW board right now and instead of having multiple photos threads you all could utilize just one thread. Thoughts??..Sawtooth, City of Trees, BoiseAirport, Boisecynic...anyone else who posts photos?

I think that's a great idea, Cottonwood, I would be happy to contribute!

Also, after class I'm going to post a photo thread today in the city photos section, I finally finished editing last night.

Sounds good. I'm going to see what the others say about a general thread and a re-name of this thread. Boise is going to be covered very will between your thread and the one that Sawtooth has mentioned he is working on. Boise = exposed big time on SSP

LOL, I was just thinking, how long until Boise gets its own city section? Half-kidding, but you look at San Antonio and Sacramento's discussion sections and it seems like Boise has a similar-sized following.. I'd even go as far as to say Boise has to be among the most well-represented cities on SSP if you could measure it as a ratio of number of members/posts to metro area population.
