It's been awhile, so I thought I'd give an update at street level.

The wide sidewalk along Beale is poured and almost ready for primetime:

Still working along Mission:

Not very interesting to me, but the auto entrance is coming along too:

Mmmm, I love the smell of fresh cement in the morning (not really).

Great shot p.g. Its been a long while since I've seen this one at street level.

Thats one problem most, if not all, of us wont complain about. Its actually not a problem at all. This building needs an art gallery from peanut gallery dedicated to it

A couple of shots on a semi-overcast day:

I'll give an update on the ground floor/entrances when they make a little more progress.

The tower looks great! There have not been many updates (visually) recently, but it was good to see some new pictures.

Yeah, there haven't been a lot of visible changes lately. The ground work seems to be moving along very slowly, but they are making progress. Everything else is happening on the inside.

The bottom is really difficult to see now as they've erected a new plywood barrier all around the base of the building. These are the best I could do.

This will be the main auto entrance on Fremont:

This is just to the right of the previous shot. If these steel beams are to support a completely opaque barrier, Millennium will have completely turned its back on the Transbay Terminal. Seems mighty odd given how stunning that building will be.

Along Mission, they've installed the doors (this doorway leads into the midrise):

Trying to shoot through fencing and capture what's happening behind the wood barrier:

There seems to be a lot going on inside. Unfortunately, the area I could see from the sidewalk this morning didn't reveal much:

Welcome back! Where have you been hiding?

Amazing timing. I took photos of this today for the first time in months. I wanted to get some shots of the ground and interior work, but none of it is capture-able. Minna's restaurant is coming along. There is faux brick along the back wall and some cool arched lighting above. In the glassed atrium, they have installed some super-cool green translucent material across the back wall. It resembles a large leaf canopy, sort of.

I've also seen the window washers out lately, which makes for a nice and shiny building, even on a gray day:

Boston, for a project. Then my video card overheated, and it took some time to RMA. Then I found it fried the motherboard at the same time, so I had to get a new one of those, and new CPU and new ram, and install vista 64 blah blah blah..... So took a while to be able to process photos again.

Well, I am going for work to Delhi on the 23rd, and won't be back in SFO until April 10th. I did manage to arrange that trip to spend a week in Istanbul and Egypt, though, so I can post some more exotic fare than 301 Mission. If the weather cooperates, I'll try to make the rounds this weekend.

Yes, I remember you mentioning you had been spending time there for business. I was almost going to mention that, if you didn't respond so quickly.

Was it all those high resolution photographs on your computer? I once fried my video card because I had too much high-res graphics on my display - gotta keep them video cards cool...

Now I understand why you have such good camera equipment. I'm glad to see that you're back. I am looking forward to seeing more of your outstanding photographs from wherever you travel as they come.

Have you ever considered some night photography in San Francisco - 301 Mission and other recently completed or nearly completed towers and their illuminated crowns, the skyline day and night, etc? ...Time and weather permitting of course.
