The video is not that bad. He did mock Brad's bad hip, literally behind his back, but it didn't seem cruel, lasted a fraction of a second, and apparently they get along well enough that it's nothing the Team Canada skip wouldn't've done to Brad's face.

But people are LIVID, probably because they got called out for bad curling etiquette, cheering misses by teams playing against NL, etc. There are a lot of Brad Gushue lovers here who are raging on the Team Canada skip. Which is all music to my ears. I kind of want to take advantage of the opportunity to go hand out separatist fliers.

Also,

Reminds of Ayreonaut's comment to me during the NL vs Northern Ontario game: "Battle of the Accents" lol

Newfoundland's lead, Geoff Walker, is actually from Beaverlodge, Alberta, just a couple towns over from where I grew up.

Another reason to say GO GUSHUE!

Newfoundland: 3; Canada: 0.

The crowd kind of likes it.

People on my street have their windows open and speakers put in them blasting the game's radio station, I assume it's the radio station anyhow since it's speakers.

We're cheering for misses, get over it. Take your pearls off and leave them at home.

That mainland reporter CBC sent I mentioned everyone here loves (i.e. wants to sleep with), has earned the highest praise heterosexual Newfoundland women give. Wicked.

Gallant is getting all the praise for what a game he's playing for Team Gushue.

TSN is apparently teaching people about Newfoundland English. Ayreonaut just messaged (I'm on the right).

^Some people on Twitter aren't impressed with that choice of word.

Find me a person who has actually used this word in the last 15 or 20 years. Hit and miss with this segment. #Brier2017

I've never heard that one before. But now I know, I guess.

Final attendance numbers are in and throughout the week approximately 122,000 people entered Mile One for a brier match.

Wonderful job by the people of St. John's, and all of Newfoundland and Labrador this week. My friends who visited had a tremendous time.

Hopefully Team Gushue can cap it off in perfect fashion.
