Jacksonville is surely one of the most underrated cities in the country. It's the largest city in Florida by geography and population, but cities half its size like Miami, Orlando, and Tampa have larger metros and greater influence beyond the state. But it has a good skyline and nice historic inner neighborhoods. Plus the Jaguars almost had a shot at the Super Bowl.

I want to see a skyline of a bunch of 20 story buildings then the Dubai creek tower in the middle. That would be number one skyline imo.

They've seen it and they think it's "fake news" and they are out to prove it. The day was supposed to be yesterday but I can't find any reports it happened:

And I supposed it's relevant they did not plan to launch from Jacksonville which isn't a dead enough town for them.

PS: Even the outlet malls are actually in St. Augustine.

Probably the most plain and nondescript Top 50 metro I've ever been to. The only people I've met outside Jacksonville who are from Jacksonville like to yell "DuVAAAAAALLLLLL!!!!!" a lot... it's annoying.

One positive I noticed, they have a pretty nice riverfront in downtown

My sis is being treated at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville and as we were driving through I said to her you know you are now in the largest city in Florida and one of the largest in the US right?
She looked at me and said "how is that possible?"

Have they ever had a major hurricane there? I don't remember them ever having any while nearly every other place along the southeast coast has been hit. Maybe the (superior to Toronto) skyline is just too intimidating for hurricanes and scares them off?

Love the formerly MODIS tower....Jax could use a dozen or so skyscrapers though.
To fit its "largest city in america " title.
