Fans on their way to a game of local club Hannover 96
AWD Arena, home of Hannover 96
Early morning, central station
Goose liver with apple slices or Duck à la banane with red apple cabbage?
Snow is never a reason to not sit outside
I'm not as hardcore as them, don't use my bike when there's snow on the ground.
That's one reason why I don't really like snow, I don't have a car and pretty
much use my bike every day
Police headquarters on the left
Town hall
Bus stop
As you can see this house was partially destroyed in WW2
Same with this church, hence the weird looking lower part
If you ever visited Budapest you will have seen the same streetcar in yellow
School
fire station
Police. Upper part was also destroyed in the war
Well, as longs as you are dressed appropriate, why not sit outside...
...even though I guess they just wanted to be able to smoke
A very underrepresented city in this forum. It looks really nice!
Please take more pics of Hannover, when the snow is gone, if possible.
It looks nice with the snow too however.

Wow , Hannover is really nice in the snow . Linden neighborhood looks always cool. Alemaria , yesterday ended after 3 weeks Maschseefest , do you made any pics of this nice event ?
Many greetings from Neustadt ( Hannover region ) !
i love snow, i dont know why everyone on SP hates it so much.
its better than winter without snow, now that sucks, when everything is just cold and slushy.
Well, I like snow but tbh I prefer a huge amount of snow for a short time to a few inches of snow for 3 months.
Like I said, riding my bike sucks when it snows.
We also have "mountains" nearby so when I really want to snowboard or ride my sled I can drive there by car in 90 minutes.
There's a lake in the city-center and when it's really cold you can skate on it, it's like a giant rink.
Also much more skate-able without snow.

No,I didn't. I was there of course but tbh, I didn't take any pics for weeks now.
I always smile when I see pictures of cities that were utterly destroyed in World War II and yet look better than any American city. Obviously, some of this is just social and cultural. Germans didn't abandon their cities for crappy suburbs. They retained crucial masonry skills that allowed for construction of historic buildings. And fortunately, driving is not something everyone needs to do. That's a benefit of built-in density and transit. They reinforce one another.
Given our straitened energy future, European cities should offer some useful tips on successful human habitation. Please, America: pay attention.
