Before the trees all got their leaves, you could see a lot more buildings and homes, but now that they are in full bloom, it definitely does look like a forest!

And the shot is taken from the apartment complex immediately east of Carlingwood Shopping Centre. It's my summer view

Nicely done - was this from the bike path on the Gatineau side yesterday?

If so I was there around 2pm doing the Champlain Bridge/Aylmer/War Museum Champlain Bridge loop.

I think the crane on the extreme right is the one at Wellington at Island Park.

Again - great shot!

Welcome back! That's a really nice one. Where did you take it from? I can tell it's from somewhere southwest of downtown, but have trouble figuring out exactly where.

Thanks, flickr won't let me make it any bigger. It's a bit more detailed. Ottawa is very green, looks like downtown is the middle of a forest. Was kind of suprised. It's from the Civic campus of the Ottawa Hospital. I'd say I'm 30-40m up. I have one from the same angle but twice as far I'll post it soon.

Was just going to say it must be near parkdale and the Queensway. Lots of green in that neighbourhood.

Not a pano really, but an interesting view of the city from last March. Unfortunately the quality is poor. I fixed it up the best I could.

Nice angle. Thanks, flar. The planned and growing node of highrises at Carling and Preston will significantly extend that line to the left.

That is a stunning photograph and to capture a lightning bolt in the background is amazing.

the Bolt traces an almost mirror-image to Hundred Foot Line on the left, too.

Frank Gehry does Ottawa?

It's funny how Google Earth has the Langevin block all screwed up like deconstructionist architecture:

Some great shots taken from the top of the Adobe building on Preston are featured on today's WestSideAction post: http://westsideaction.wordpress.com/...do-buyers-see/

That shot is amazing! You should post it in the Canada section.
